Prospect Sept 9th Good day for quality

On a good day for quality, several species worth cell alerts from my position afar in Fort Tilden ,where fortunately no twisters were discovered  but spectacular skies abound, Prospect Park came through with autumn gems

First among great birds to see, YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT tops the list. The bird was spotted by Rob Bate along the northern Peninsula meadow, eventually making it to the sumacs grove, this reclusive species seen by Anne Murray and Keir Randall as well.  With patience and inactive movement, you can see the bird.

Continuing its hot spot, a BOBOLINK was seen perched atop a tree across from the Well House, near the sumacs. In its nondescript plumage , yet buffy look, its a great bird to see here. (Keir)

OLIVE -SIDED FLYCATCHER is anothe nice bird, just a stones throw away from the Peninsula, seen on Breeze Hill, by the path that descends the south slope of the hill, the bird perched in a snag i presume. (Keir)

WORM-EATING WARBLER, & YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO complement the day as well. Check the lists below and prevoius field postings for locations. . ( MBerger; Keir , respectively)
