Reported by Rafael on Ebirds
08 December 2012
A very gray and damp day for an early morning walk around PP. But by 9 am I was
in the Vale, and to my big surprise, a large flock, of ~20 indvs, of
White-winged Crossbills, feeding in a Sweetgum tree.
The rest of my walk was quite slow, and the only great spot of activity were the
feeders. The usual suspects, and the Pine Siskins still around but their
numbers are quite low ( I counted ~4).
A Belted Kingfisher was see around the lake, and also 1 Bufflehead.
No signs of the Chat, at least til 12 noon.
