supercilium, mottled back, and very long, narrow, banded tail. According to allaboutbirds, Cooper's immature should also have a white terminal band, which I did not see. This would be my first, though, so I am not 100% sure. I have photos by Peter Colen I can send which show the lighter supercilium, but the main thing was the size.

KB ADDENDUM: after viewing photos, the identity of the " Gos " has been downgraded to Coopers Hawk, yesterdays specimen a large juvenile bird. More later on identifying the juvenile birds, best confirmed thru tail field marks and photos of this bird part
