It was bath time for Grackles this afternoon - i saw 6 splashing in the water at peninsula shore, SE of pink beach:
also saw this low-riding Red-necked Grebe opposite wellhouse, who had just eaten a big fish:
it was accompanied by this more buoyant companion:
