Subject: Thursday Walk

Hi Peter,

Although it felt like February, we ended up having a very good walk today.
We had about 28 people braving the cold and what at first seemed like a very slow birding day.
However we ended up with 61 species and some good ones.
Highlights included
Raptors: Merlin, Peregrine, Red-shouldered Hawk (beautiful fly-by), Red-tailed, Sharp-shinned)
Warblers: highlights were Prairie Warbler (on peninsula), Hooded Warbler (thanks to Mike Yuan for persisting in the search past the first playgrounds), Ovenbird, Louisiana Waterthrush, Black-and-white (at least 3), many Pine Warblers (both very drab, inbetween and very bright), many Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, 5 Common Loon (4 fly-over, one on the lake),
a cooperative Green Heron, Purple Finch and others.

A few shots attached for the FB and blog site.

Best regards,
Tom
