Subject: Prospect today
Mostly things were slow until I got to the Vale around 2:00 to sit down and see if the Western Tanager showed up. It didn't during the 3 hours I spent there, but lots of other things did: Cerulean Warbler, Cape May Warbler, Wilson's Warbler, Gray-cheeked Thrush, Pine Siskin, and Lincoln's Sparrow. The earlier Philadelphia Vireo was in trees on the upslope side of the Lookout Hill path behind Lamppost 249, then moved around the southeast corner of the hill. A second Cape May was in the bald cypress by the Lullwater rustic shelter on my way out, and earlier in the day a Bay-breasted Warbler was high in a tree on Lookout Hill. Total of 20 warbler sps.
