Hi Peter,
Oveall quieter day than the weekend was. One very active pocket by the picnic tables had tennessee, parula, chestnut-side as well as the regular suspect warblers, also good looks for a few people at a yellow-bellied flycatcher. We saw a second one on top of Lookout that others got a look at, but never the whole group. Overall, Lookout and the Lullwater and Ravine were all quiet.
The Peninsula was pretty good but sadly the entire fenced off area, just past the meadow, has been converted into an enclosed DOG RUN!!! 2 men had 8-10 dogs off leash, running around, using the area as a pen. We called 311 (but got misdirected to Property Insurance)and took photos. Alan tried to flag down a cop but they didn't see us. We told them it was protected area and they said 'yeah, we know'. It really put a damper on the rest of the morning.
Here's hoping for better birding days ahead,
Bobbi
