Behold, my friends, the spring is come; the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun, and we shall soon see the results of their love!

Subject: Happy World Migratory Bird Day!
Dear Members,
Happy World Migratory Bird Day. I hope you had an opportunity to spend some time outdoors and commune with our feathered friends today. In celebration of our Big Week of Brooklyn Birding BBC Member, walk leader and NY State Young Birder John Dean has made a fantastic video taking you through his process for illustrating birds from photos taken in the field. If you are unable to get out and bird at this time or have a young person in your life who enjoys nature this video may be the perfect prescription. Thank you John for your continued service to the Brooklyn Bird Club!
You can watch John's video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MN6_4GfaSE
As you enjoy migration a quick reminder that Green Wood Cemetery has respectfully asked the general public not to visit on Mother's Day Sunday May 10th. Let's support our partners at GWC in providing a space for quiet contemplation on this their busiest day.
With that I hope you have a safe and healthy spring migration. Happy Mother's Day and good birding.
Yours,
Dennis W Hrehowsik
