Brooklyn's western piers are the goto gull hotspots evident today by two white winged gull rarities.
At the Valentino pier (65th st) a GLAUCOUS gull landed there for a short time. It soon took off. However not long after it was found sitting on the south cove pier at Bush Terminal Pier Park. Glaucous Gulls are large and bulky birds.
Bush Terminal offered a bonus though simultaneously with Glaucous. An ICELAND GULL immature floated in the water presumably in the same cove.
REDPOLLS continue as usual at the western end of Dell Avenue in Greenwood Cemetery
