- Subject: Mew at Brooklyn Army Terminal, BrooklynFrom: Joshua Malbin <joshuamalbin@gmail.com>Date: Sat, 25 Dec 2021 11:36:40 -0500X-Message-Number: 2About an hour ago at Brooklyn Army Terminal I came on the presumedShort-billed Gull Andrew Baksh found a few days ago at Bush Terminal. I saton it awhile waiting for a spread wing shot but missed that 15 secondwindow when someone threw bread and the Ring-billed flock it was with tookflight. I am still trying to find it again, a few others are helping. Rainis making visibility difficult, but Veterans Pier might also be worthchecking. If anyone finds it, I believe a spread wing shot would helpestablish the species most definitively.Good birding,Joshua Malbin----------------------------------------------------------------------Subject: Re: Mew at Brooklyn Army Terminal, BrooklynFrom: Joshua Malbin <joshuamalbin@gmail.com>Date: Sat, 25 Dec 2021 11:47:59 -0500X-Message-Number: 3Sorry, I didn’t realize Andrew did already get spread-wing shots that dididentify this bird definitively as Short-billed.
