Yellow-breasted Chat (Icteria virens) (1)
- Reported May 01, 2025 07:44 by Jacqui Kaplan
- Prospect Park, Kings, New York

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S231612271
- Comments: "Someone reported seeing one around the stairs between the vale and rose gardens, which I looked for but didn't find. A little bit later, I was a little south of that area and saw a bird similar in size to a robin in the shrubs. He was partially obscured, but he had a very yellow breast against gray. He turned his head and I saw thick white spectacles, before he flew away. Definitely bigger than warblers/vireos. I can't think of any other similar bird it could be, so I feel good about the ID, especially knowing one had been seen nearby."
