- Comments: "Flagged: rare/irruptive in Brooklyn, and especially unexpected in early September (!). Thanks to Angela P earlier for the report. Female at Dell occasionally coming down to the ground to forage, occasionally flying up into the big tree above the bee boxes, and occasionally flying up off into the woods where it had recently disappeared before we arrived. Honking bill, yellow neck and shoulders, plain front, much larger than a goldfinch. Silent the whole time we were there but a bunch of us got photos."
