From Linda Ewing:
(4/3 late afternoon)
Thought you'd be interested to know that I believe I saw your woodcock yesterday late afternoon/early evening - it burst out of the brush alongside Center Drive right by the Three Arches bridge. The golden-crowned kinglets were thick in the ravine. And just as I'd given up hope of spotting the Louisiana waterthrush and was heading toward the Long Meadow and home, I took one last look up Ambergill Creek (right by the wooden bridge) and there it was, happily bouncing around on the rocks. I watched it for quite a while and got great views. This morning's highlight: a rufous-sided towhee scratching in the leaves by Binnen Pool.
