Overshadowed by today's mega bird Townsend's Warbler in Greenwood cemetery, an Olive Sided flycatcher put in an appearance in Prospect.
Along the East Drive within the south Midwood, the boreal flycatcher perches in a dead tree per Ryan M.-- as expected of the species.
Getting back to the Townsend's, the bird was heard by a visiting Californian birder named Cedric Duhalde. Because it was high up in the tree canopy, the singing or call by Townsend's would've been taken by a similar Black-throated Green.
The bird was first heard by Cedric at Cypress and Grape Avenues, the former always a magical warbler road due to the numerous oaks lined along there.
Good luck if it's there tomorrow.
