Subject: Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Apr 7, 2015
A very late walk around the part. I started around 10:15 am. But after passing thru the Vale, the birds were more active, and evident.
At Terrace Bridge, a pair of Gnatcatchers plus Palm & Pine Warblers brought some shinning light to this dark grey morning.
While crossing the Nethermead, a single Peregrine Falcon flew over.
The lake & peninsula were great, with 2 Brown Thrashers, Myrtle Warbler, Black-crowned Night-Heron, Barn & Tree Swallows, Laughing Gull. And a single drake Common Merganser is still visible at the Lake. I think the bird is not in good health.
Back home via the pools & ravine, but no luck with the LOWA. Maybe mañana!!
