A Common Gallinule ( previously called Moorhen) was spotted on eastern Prospect Lake West of Duck Island this morning.
A late afternoon report noted the Gallinule seen well enough from the Peninsula thumb suntanning in the phragmites edge of Duck Island West shore.
common gallinules are uncommon species here
