Mondays highlight in Prospect is TWO PROTHONOTARY Warblers.
The first bird appeared in the Peninsula found by Janet Zinn. From sketchy reports while I was working unfortunately this Peninsula bird worked its way to the Thumb. From there I assumed it flew across to Duck Island. The last report in mid-afternoon placed the bird on the south side shorelines of Terrace Bridge according to Jeffrey and Matt.
The second PROTHONOTARY ventures to Upper Pool which is fed by Falkill Falls. It was at the second waterfall I gathered this bird showed up. Eventually a report from a birder said it was showing Well along the back path between the both pools and the Ravine .
I hope it sticks around, at least one of them
