Mixed bag birding

Seems like reports I read and from the field while I was working inquiring birders indicate hard work searching for birds with almost full leaf out . Not repeating what I posted previously, here are the highlights

A Blue grosbeak male was spotted in the northwest oak of butterfly meadow in prospect. Following this were Summer Tanager at Falkill falls, Solitary Sandpiper in the Lily pool near the boathouse and an early Black poll Warbler by the zoo, not a good sign on the latter as they indicate migration halfway over. But I wouldn't worry about that.Cape May, Prairie and Black throated Blue Warblers passed thru at the top of Maryland monument stairs area.

Over at greenwood cemetery, a gorgeous White crowned Sparrow at Vernal Ave by Union is a top highlight along with Bay breasted warbler there as well

In Green points McCarren Park, a worm eating Warbler was reported there as well as one in Greenwood Dellwater.

Yesterday a mega if confirmed with a photo I'm waiting Upland Sandpiper tried to touch down on Nellie's Lawn which marks the entry in the Vale of Hopefully it can be confirmed as this likely will be a first since 2012.

Have a good birding weekend wherever you are 🐦
