todays Prospect note

During a planting, I noted my first fall HERMIT THRUSH at the Tennis House north iron wrought fence, along with a Black & white warbler and Ovenbird.

On my lunch break , I see the Upper Pool wildflower meadow is dominated by Goldfinches, with a single RUBY CROWNED KINGLET. In the Upper Pool , WOOD DUCKS abound, 9 birds in the water.

I received a report from Rob bate that the western shoreline  along the way to Three Sisters Islands saw pockets of warblers in the trees.
