Good Birds around the neighborhood

Spread out good birding reports today with one outstanding bird at one of the parks, the newest one.

In Prospect Lake, the west shore open water continues to host 5 COMMON MERGANSERS,much to the delight of birders for their temporary residence.

Down at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Mike Yuan posted a report of CANVASBACK at pier # 3

And last ,Bush Terminal Pier Park continues to dazzle its winter magic. Rob Bate observed an unexpected ROUGH LEGGED HAWK , prominent now in the New York City metro area but not Bush Terminal with its lack of grassland.. But in winter, birders would take anything spectacular over the lack of birds.

Good winter birding!
