The western Nethermead transformed into a sparrow hotspot that showcased a variety of species that included a remarkable 4 Vesper Sparrows. The location is perfectly suited for the emberizae genera.
The early morning report of Vesper Sparrows together would intrigue birders as this is a typically rare species,only most times occuring in Octobers. It likes the open spaces so today's birders were treated to generous views.
Along the grass edges Pine and Blackpoll warblers mingled with the Chipping and White throated sparrows. I found a Winter Wren on the fence at the meadow donor trees at the far west corner .
