Hi Peter,
Reporting back from our "early migrants" walk. At first I thought maybe we might be the most numerous migrants in the park (maybe 35 or more people, including several new folks), but we were able to dig up a good number of birds during our time there.
We ended up with 45 species (I may well have missed some seen by others in the large group) including Louisiana Waterthrush (with really bright pink legs), several Brown Creepers, lots of Golden-crowned and Ruby-crowned Kinglets, N Shovelers, the breeding-plumage Common Loon, the Common Merganser pair, and a brilliant Ruddy Duck.
