- Comments: "Flagged for rare/late. Heard while on a run through the park, in the east end of the Midwood, across from the zoo (pin to follow), repeatedly singing “peet-SAH.” (Note: I don’t really think this species sounds like it’s saying “peet-SAH” at all, except that “peet-SAH” conveys that it’s two syllables/notes and delivered with the enthusiasm that so many wee creatures feel about pizza.) It was also doing its lower, whistled, “twitter song” that David Allen Sibley helpfully transcribes as “pwipwipwipwipwipwipwi.” Audio available.
