Fwd: Prospect Park, Brooklyn, Apr 10, 2014


In following up Dennis' report of the Worm eating warbler, no success. But this isn't a very rare species,in fact in good spring performance, does show up with uncommon frequency. You just have to step in the right spot.

But passing along the lake enroute to home, the second RED NECKED GREBE appeared when I reported one before.Nearby 7 WOOD DUCKS and a hen RED BREASTED MERGANSER were under the watchful eyes of 2 BLACK CROWNED NIIGHTHERONS,GREAT EGRET & DOUBLE CRESTED CORMORANT on Three Sisters Islands.Pretty crowded there,I am guessing accommodations are full.
