Operation Milkweed

Hi Butterfly Lovers,
I've started a small movement called " Operation Milkweed: Save the Monarch Butterfly" and am working with local schools to plant milkweeds in open areas around Broad Channel and the Rockaway Beach area. I'm using IOBY to raise some funds and the National Parks and Conservation Association will match any funds up to $50 that individuals send by next Monday. I know it's a bigger issue tan just planting mikweeds but you have to start (plant a seed) somewhere to raise awareness. Who knows, maybe it will catch on.
