Wet Prospect

Whenever spring rains come, a good spot to check out is the Lake. Here, swallows happily fly about, without a care about raindrops hitting them.

TREE and BARN SWALLOWS took the air over the Lake, about 12 this morning. While they actively moved about, they passed an overcrowded snag on Three Sisters. With three WOOD DUCK on the branches, so was present  a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT HERON with a GREAT EGRET.There was an OSPREY overhead, searching for the right fish below. ( definitely not a keeper)

Reports are negative, as likely in this weather for Yellow-throated Warbler. The only thing special , as I spoke with a visitor from Germany looking for the rare bird, was a PRAIRIE WARBLER he saw at the back shore of the Lower Pool , along the Ambergill. No success finding this bird for me; another time, when it's drier.
