Subject: 2017 Jamaica Bay Shorebird Festival

With New York City Audubon and the American Littoral Society
One of the most exciting natural spectacles that you can see from Jamaica Bay is the annual shorebird migration.  Having left their breeding grounds in the arctic, many shorebirds are on a journey to warmer climes in Central and South America.  We like to think that Jamaica bay Wildlife Refuge is one of their favorite stops along the way. Come learn more about these incredible animals at our annual Jamaica Bay Shorebird Festival, taking place Saturday, August 26.
