The Upper Pool was devoid of ducks saved for a few Mallards;but no Pintail. [ho-hum.sigh]. With a sentinel GREAT BLUE HERON looking on from its island perch, I searched vainly for the good duck but no luck there or the Lower Pool; the latter is hard to scan from the densely covered Long Meadow side of that pond.
I'll try my luck next time if the Pintail is still around. Humph, these one day wonders....
