Black-headed Gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) (1)
- Reported Feb 18, 2021 12:38 by null
- Prospect Park, Kings, New York
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=40.6602841,-73.9689534&ll=40.6602841,-73.9689534
- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S81898212
- Comments: "Pointed out by Doug G.  Somewhat smaller than a RB Gull, with a much thinner bill and a dark spot behind its eye.  Out by itself, but close to the other gulls near the hole in the lake, standing on one leg.  The distance and steady snow would have made any photography challenging, and in any case, the bird flew off after a few seconds of observation."
