Hi Peter,
Well, it was another beautiful day again in the park. We had a full group of 40 with about half new birders within the last year. It was, once again, super birdy, especially in the north end of the park. We had 84 species including 20 species of warblers.
Highlights: a couple of very cooperative, low Cape Mays, Black-throated Greens, Black-throated Blues and Northern Parulas, several Veery, a Nashville that came down to a puddle in the horse trail under the boulder bridge, a Canada near the Esdale Bridge, several Green Heron, a relaxed Solitary Sandpiper thanks to a tip from Kathy T, many Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and more.
