Today's sighting hung along the west shore,first at sw corner West island,then gliding towards Well Drive junction duck feeding spot.

- Comments: "Amazing find by Josh; many thanks to him & Radka for getting the word out & then sticking around to help other birders. Smaller than nearby Canadas, overall soft dun brown w white tail feathers & delicate white scalloping on edge of wing. Kept head tucked for first ~10 minutes I was there, but eventually perked up, showing orange bill w pale base…then proceeded to evict ducks from snag and clambered onto it, revealing its bright orange legs. County bird for me (and many others), what a surprise to get it up close in Prospect Park. After multiple wild goose chases, I figured if I ever saw one here, it would be a distant scope view on a freezing day in Marine Park."
