Clay-colored Sparrow (Spizella pallida) (1)
- Reported Mar 16, 2025 10:30 by KZ F
- Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings, New York

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S218922744
- Comments: "**rare overwinter but very early for a spring migrant, seems reasonable to presume this bird overwintered nearby (perhaps in the cemetery) - which would make it one of a couple CCSP that spent this winter in the northeast. First reported on 3/9, associating with highly mobile chipping sparrow flock between Dell Water and Pastoral Dell. Rob Jett spotted it perched over some mean-looking thorns here (40.6510022, -73.9956973) before the flock bounded SSE towards Crescent Water. Photos"
