The link above will take you to the Arverne Spring Planting page. I'm seeking volunteers to help with a major planting project at the new NYC Park in Rockaway on Sunday, April 26th from 10am-1pm. It's located between the boardwalk and elevated A train near the 44th street station. We meet by the visitor center bldg. parking lot. I will be planting beach plum, red cedar and other native plantings in memory of Cindy Goulder, an ecological landscaper who dedicated her life to making NYC Parks more beautiful and better habitat for birds and other wildlife. I'll provide tools , gloves, water and snacks for all. I hope you'll join me in celebration of Cindy and Earth Day 2026. For more info contact don@littoralsociety.org
