figured I would do some ear birding by car considering the weather. I was surprised to find misty, but somewhat dry conditions to start.
Almost immediately after arriving at the Sylvan Water I watched 4 Bobolink fly in from the 5th Ave corner and head N then NE over the cemetery. I spent most of my time around the Sylvan Water and then drove around listening at various locations as the rain picked up again.
New arrivals for me included (in no specific order);
Bobolink
Wilson's Warbler
Red-eyed Vireo
Eastern Wood-Pewee
Blackpoll
Swainson's Thrush
I echo the earlier post from Bryant Park, Ovenbirds were everywhere. I wish there were more eyes there. Lot's to look at.
