quiet north wind

There was a north wind at some point early this morning but it was quiet.I guess everything went earlier this week.

A few reports though for the record from today's birding. Hilights were Yellow billed Cuckoo, Rose breasted Grosbeaks and continuing Philadelphia Vireo. The Cuckoo was spotted by Ryan Goldberg, a cooperative bird up near Butterfly Meadow. The Rose Breasteds spotted by Ryan, Karen and Bob flew back and forth over Well Drive by the 3 shipping containers. And last the Philadelphia Vireo stay put in Greenwood Cemetery but at Sylvan Water area.

At this point warblers are fading away ( with more coming but their numbers dropping off) and pretty soon they will be displaced by the incoming sparrows.... Its the flow of the season...

Update: The Philly Vireo report has been retracted by the observer , misidentified.

but the following report was posted for your review
