yesterday report ( one of a number ) VARIED THRUSH

Mostly hanging out along stream on the north side of the Nethermead (3 Arches) Bridge..

- Comments: "Continuing bird near the Music Pagoda, seen from the horse trail along a stream near three arched bridge. Many observers. The bird was turning over leaves and pecking the ground hard in a leaf covered area under some dead wood.  Other birds flew in repeatedly into the same area, a red bellied woodpecker twice landed almost on top of the Thrush and started to feed in the exact same spot the Thrush had been feeding.  A Cardinal and White-throated Sparrow were also feeding in close proximity to the Thrush."
