- Comments: "Found by Peter D just as I was approaching the lake.  Dark red bill and legs, primaries black at tips, outer primaries white.  Inner primaries dark underneath.  Black spot behind eye.  Some feathers seemed to be missing from the face creating a black crescent at times.  About 20 or so minutes later, every bird on the lake went up and stayed up in a frenzy.  I couldn't find a raptor anywhere, but the birds stayed off the lake for a long duration - eventually I just left.
