Tuesday's hilights

A good Tuesday for birders with usual April species sought if they are found..Those would include Yellow throated Warbler and Eastern Meadowlark for example. And follow that up with rarities seen this week and beyond

Top high light of course is the Yellow throated Warbler. This southern overshoot was spotted near Greenwood cemetery's Pierrepont grave . The finder was Persephanie Westervelt.  Specifically the YTwarbler visited tulip trees along Vista Ave between lawn and landscape avenues .

Second banana is Eastern Meadowlark found in Prospects  North Nethermead. Found by Paul Merle-- attached to the BBC Tuesday walk-- the Meadowlark fed on the ground with sparrows and nearby off leash dogs . A very brave determined bird.

At Sparrow bowl between Prospects picnic and tennis houses , 2 Vesper Sparrow felt safe behind the fence . I'm told there were 100s of Chipping Sparrows today. A Vesper Sparrow in Greenwood Moss Bank path had briefly appeared but I lucked out on my off day trying to find it before 2 pm.

Usual stayovers Orange crowned warbler continues on the Vale Cashmere east slope and Red Headed woodpecker at Battle Hill Greenwood are still delighting birders.
