Woodsy fallout in Greenwood

A spectacular fallout of AMERICAN WOODCOCK occurred in Greenwood Cemetery.

Matthew Wills picked his lucky day to go birding in GWC. His first text to me noted 18 woodcocks. Then a short time later, that number changed higher to a terrific 28 woodcocks . Daisy Paul visited and tweeted out a total 25. For an autumn day with no bad storm to force these birds down,I would say it's a timberdoodlers twister!

Also good birds in GWC while birders reacted to the woodcock reports:a RED HEADED WOODPECKER. Simon Taylor found this bird which I forwarded his tweet above on location . Juncos abound and a single BLUE HEADED VIREO was found by Matthew.
