High weekend activity

As I birded Sterling Forest yesterday for my golden bird walk, great activity was taking place over the weekend back home. But exhausted today from the long day yesterday,I will keep this post brief.

Likely the go to bird is Mourning Warbler. Besides my previous post, one was heard giving a few chip notes per Forrest at the Maryland Monument;I believed the bird was briefly seen.

Black Billed Cuckoo was reported at Greenwood cemetery along with Eastern Bluebird. A report of a puddle at Central and Pine Avenues attracted a good number of Warblers ; this was true of numbers or high activity in Prospect Park as well easily topping 20 species.

A Common Nighthawk found perched on a middle slope oak adjacent to Lookout Hill Butterfly Meadow also had another flying over near Long Meadow as well as one at Greenwood Cemetery.

Regarding fly overs , Black Vulture was seen over Lookout Hill.

Greenwood today hosted a Blue Grosbeak.

Check Prospect Park checklists on eBird for the diverse array.. I m beat 🥱
