overcast skies,few tweets

On this windy chilly overcast day, a few notable reports to note..

First ,a double dose of ORANGE CROWNED WARBLERS on Lookout Hill south base slope , by the green shipping containers, observed by Sean Sime in Prospect Park.

Then my quack report of 8 LESSER SCAUP - 6 Drake, 2 hen- within a large BUFFLEHEAD contigent of 175 birds .this flock in the western cove of Bush Terminal Park, past the mound. I had visited this park for a small event that included park awareness, weeding invasives, and birding promotion. A sunnier day no doubt would have bought out the crowds ! It's early yet for winter birds to peak at Bush.

Also noted is the regular COMMON RAVEN ( chased by crows) at Bush Terminal Park.Observers were Karen Ohearn and Rob Bate manning the birding promotional location.
