I decided with the late afternoon fading to go for a walk in prospect park. And it turned out in a short span of time pretty well . I saw stuff that makes a walk worthwhile .
First stop at the hammerhead section of a lake view, I saw 3 hen Ring-necked ducks in front of three sisters islands. This sighting along with shovelers and near my walk conclusion when I spotted two drake Comon Mergansers added up to 16 duck species over two days after my bbc club walk of southern Brooklyn spots yesterday. Winter means ducks and that's a grand reason for enjoying them in their best plumage.
Around the lake ,I get word that the bald eagle has been spotted on south lookout. I found that eagle from the mid slope path above the well house , perched high .It was also seen from well house drive farther down but the view is unimpeded of branches higher up on that path.
A nice walk and most importantly getting out is a cure for Sunday laziness.🦅
