Spot birding

Today was a variety of different spots n Prospect having quality birds.A mostly low key day , several decent birds were reported in spread out locations.

Topping the list, two RUSTY BLACKBIRDS found by RJett worked the back shore of Lower Pool. They were chased off by a tenacious Red winged Blackbird.

Also reported by Rob Jett were BLUE HEADED VIREO and BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER in the Lulllwater cove.

On my way home from work, 23 CHIPPING SPARROWS  stopped me in my tracks at the southwest field of the Nethermead.

By the well drive tables,I ran into Karen Ohearn who lucked in seeing a BROWN THRASHER along the path from West Island towards Well drive.

Pine ,Palm and Yellow rumped warblers hitting the scene with an uptick of HERMIT THRUSHES noted today. A LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSH walked along the Lulllwater beneath the Terrace Bridge ( RBate)

An American Wigeon lingers at Boathouse pond, but a late report places it at the lake.

Some precipitation is predicted tonight but south winds is  in the cards. Maybe birds will try their darnest anyway and head north.
