warmer air flow

The air felt warm signifying perhaps an uptick potential for birds coming our way. It will be a GOOD FRIDAY tomorrow....( if I am wrong, at least ONE OF TWO is definite GF).

Perhaps the warmth today did spur on PINE WARBLERS. Tom Stephenson reported 5 birds of this species in the Ravine. When I went to the location ,along the woods path that parallel s the creek, there were three, two very close midway by a large timber. Then Gus Keri and I spotted another atop the Ambergill falls.

Another warbler species is in , YELLOW RUMPED. Both Mike Yuan and later Linda Ewing reported the birds. Spot was upper north Lullwater.

EASTERN BLUEBIRD continue somewhere along the Upper Pool dog beach area, in trees at Long Meadow by a road fork. This is the elm grove mound. Mike and Joshua Malbin reported here.

GREENWINGED TEAL pair continues at Upper Pool, seen gliding across into the island channel where three Wood Ducks also resided.

Prospect Lake looks quiet now.But on Three Sisters Island, a group of 4 GREAT BLUE HERONS were beneath a GREAT EGRET. In the water , 4 RING NECKED DUCKS were sleeping about. I spotted three LAUGHING GULLS, as no doubt will be more and a comedy shop will be born... ;-)

Good to feel the warm air and perhaps with it, interesting birds in this coming holiday weekend.
