Connecticut warbler story

Karen O'Hearn mentioned to me she was only on a " casual birding "walk when what she initially thought Common Yellowthroat at the West Island benches was instead later a CONNECTICUT WARBLER.

This morning's rarity became a confirmation when Karen spotted the bird walking along the shore edge and turning its head  showed its distinct eye ring. After tweets,a number of birders appeared. It was an hour later when COWA appeared along the path fence opposite West Island. Its last appearance was sometime before 10:45. No reports came later as I was enjoying a family reunion.

Great find Karen!

It's possible with that brushy area the last such habitat at southwest Prospect it may stick around there. Hopefully so.
