Summer swelter gets to you and so getting out into Prospect after a workweek that left me exhausted seem like the best option
With no luck for an up close view of Least Bittern,I settled for a Lake attracted FORSTERS TERN.I caught sight of the term off the Peninsula thumb soon disappearing towards Lakeside rink about 1034 am. Just have to remember the Id tip " frosted are the FORSTERS wingtips.
I also hoped for that Louisiana waterthrush. It did show but for Ann Murray spotting it at the Ravine Ambergill Falls. I simply didn't have the energy to walk thhere. A RUDDY DUCK at west shore --in its red plumage- assuaged my lack of effort.
