Do you know that the third NY Breeding Bird Atlas has started? As an active eBirder, there are only a few additional steps you need to take to participate in this historic survey.
- Follow the block system
- Learn how to use breeding behavior codes
- Use the NY Breeding Bird Atlas portal to submit your observations
That's it. No new technology, just use the atlas portal and make a few extra clicks to add breeding codes to your checklists and you can help us document where birds breed across the state. The information gathered in this five-year project will be critical for conservation and you can make a difference.
