- Comments: "Went back and forth a bit on this bird -- it popped out super obviously as smaller than the others when this flock flew by in front me westbound, giving prolonged views. Shorter neck also stood out. Looking at photos, the head looks blockier/squarish, forehead to bill angle looks steeper, and white cheek patch seems to curl up around the eye more like a Cackling. Bill doesn't quite look "stubby" enough, which gives me pause, but it is clearly shorter when I compare to the birds on either side. Body also looks smaller. I am open to revising this back to a slash or other, though!
