Sunday's gems

Today was a little bit of everything according to reports on the alerts spread out to several local locations. Here they are :

Staring with Bush Terminal pier park, Dickcissel and Eastern Meadowlark were the highlights noted by Nick D. Both species appeared inside the fenced lawn and the mound respectively.

Nearby Greenwood Cemetery had its own good stuff with another Eastern Meadowlark with multiple Eastern Bluebirds on Pine Hill..A Merlin perched above the Steinway mausoleum .

At South side prospect Lake , walking in mud spot, a Rusty Blackbird entertained the birder there.

There's been a variety of late warblers reported in various sites, American Redstart, Black throated Green, Black and White are a few examples.

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns."
