1st Winter Black-headed Gull at Bush Terminal Park Kings Co.
Currently, >1,000 Gulls feeding way out just to the left of green buoy #9. Cloud/Overcast conditions make for good visibility but I see the sun showing up so that might change quickly. The wind has also picked up.
A reminder that parking here is sticky. Although parking is for visitors with a few spots for DEC personnel, the spots are usually all taken up by folks working in the area. Be aware, towing or ticketing may occur if parked in a No Parking zone.
